This March 2 and 3 at Aspro we received a delegation of Indraprastha Gas Ltd., made up of the marketing manager and two managers of operation and maintenance. Also part of the visit was Subhash Kochhar, official distributor of SHUBH TRADEX and representative of Aspro in India, formed part of the visit as well.
IGL is one of the leading gas distribution companies in India, operating mainly in the National Capital Territory, among other regions. In its more than 700 service stations with CNG dispensers, Indraprastha has approximately 300 Aspro pieces of equipment, which makes it our main client in the Indian market.
During the visit, IGL representatives and Subhash Kochhar toured our plant, where they were able to see the manufacturing, assembly and gas testing processes. Throughout his stay, it was also possible to discuss the possibility of expanding Aspro in India, participating as a bidder in the Indian government's tenders and establishing an assembly plant.
Decades of collaboration between India and Aspro
The IGL delegation and Subhash Kochhar were received by Gustavo Frontera, Aspro's global commercial manager, and Rafael Coacci, commercial representative for India. This meeting is the result of a relationship with a track record spanning over two decades, and that it will continue to grow in the coming months when we receive the visit of three senior IGL managers.
In addition, together with Subhash Kochhar we were able to project the possibility of forming new strategic alliances in India. Due to the great growth of the Indian energy sector, and in particular CNG, at Aspro we will have new opportunities to continue expanding our brand in the Asian giant.
India is, outside of South America, the largest buyer of Aspro products in the world. Since we first arrived in the country 23 years ago, we have sold over 500 pieces of equipment. An amount that will be greatly surpassed by far in the coming years due to the enormous growth of the Indian economy, of which Aspro will be a strategic partner.
