This March 15, a delegation from Trafigura came to see the Aspro plant in Tigre. The visit was made up of representatives of Puma Energy Tanzania, Mozambique, for southern region of Africa and Argentina.
The Puma Energy representatives were received by Gustavo Frontera, commercial manager of Aspro, and Gerardo Suárez, from the international sales department.
The tour of the Trafigura delegation in Aspro went through the compressor unit assembly line, the different machining cells, the compressor test area, dispensers and other self-manufactured equipment, the materials warehouse, the area of equipment in stock and CNG and Oil & Gas equipment packaging lines. The motive for this visit was the interest in studying our CNG technology, along with the regulations and market development in Argentina.
The development of CNG in Africa
The African CNG market is going through a phase of great growth. Tanzania, in particular, is a country with a great potential for transitioning to this more sustainable source of energy. Puma Energy is a leader in the Tanzanian energy market with 70 service stations in the country, although none of them have CNG pumps yet. Therefore, in their plan to start implementing them, their representatives came to Aspro to learn about our products and in search of good practices.
This growth of the CNG market in Africa is part of a broader effort to have more sustainable sources of energy. Both governments and NGOs and private companies are taking part in this transition. With this visit of the Trafigura delegation in Aspro, we continue to show that we are leaders in the development of sustainable energy.
